MerciaCare is part of Mercia Business Associates with a specific focus in quality and Self-assessments within the UK care sector.

What does MerciaCare Offer?

MerciaCare has developed a self-assessment process to ensure that managers & owners of care homes nationwide are able to meet CQC requirements.

Self assessment within the care sector will continue as The care Quality Commission (CQC) has said their first aim is to encourage ongoing improvement to the quality of care, and they will be taking early action in tackling the issue if poor quality.

CQC will continue to use the Annual Quality Assurance Assessment (AQAA) as a basis for future inspections and will continue to use the Star Rating system for

• Elder Care homes & Nursing homes (65+)
• Adult Care (18-65)
• Domiciliary care agencies.
